Since I was out at the Froghair and had a bit of time, I thought I'd see if the D4d would start after an 8-9 month rest. Let's just say I was very pleased with the outcome. The battery was right up to snuff, and she fired like I had just came back from lunch. One of my favorite tractors, and certainly the one in my collection that weighs the most! This D4d is a 1966 version, it has a 24V electrical system with direct electric start. Believe it or not, gasoline starting engines were still available from new in 1966, and I have to say that in certain environments they would be a distinct advantage. The D330 main engine is 350 c.i., and makes 65 HP.
